this was the plan: go to work, get home, then catch up on sleep (i've been lacking sleep for two days already).
and then, it changed when i told myself i'd play L2 for just one hour. just one hour.
just when i was about to log off, it happened. i was talking to assassinchris (a friendly dark elf - sounds weird but true) while doing my jobchange quest when all of a sudden, i've transformed into this evil-looking sauron look-alike, wielding the all powerful bloodsword akamanah; and before i knew it, chris started hitting me. (i think i scared him) when i finally killed him (which took just a few strikes), i was able to convince him that i was still myself.
afterwards he went with me into the cruma tower and i started powerlevelling. woohoo. :)
i've never wanted to get the akamanah. jazz did. that and the demonic sword zariche. for those who don't know, those swords are the most powerful, most coveted weapons in L2. you get to wield it for a day, and from what i understand, unless you use it to kill another player (PK), the sword will leave your hands after 24 hours.
but i guess that put to rest a couple of questions i had regarding the sword. one of which was, how it would work if it happened to fall into the hands of a mage. XD. i thought it might turn out pretty pointless. my sweet elven wizard, raya, turned into an evil knight with dual swords. my mage-skills were disabled and i got two skills instead - the void flow and void burst. void flow seemed a similar to the range attack gladiators have. the void burst was an area of effect type of attack (which almost got assassinchris' friend avenger killed XD).
i don't think i got extra hp or mp, they seemed pretty much the same. but i'm pretty sure my def went up a bit. (i was level 38 and i had 2 portas, 2 catheroks, and 3 executors (?) ganging on me). what really helps a lot though is that the sword is 100% vampiric. so even if the portas keep dealing a lot of damage to me, i regain hp by hitting back.
after 3 hours, i finally acknowledged the need for sleep (too bad i had work the next day). i'm actually quite surprised at how much fun i had. considering that i've never wanted to get the sword and was always kinda hoping i never would. the idea of having people hunting you just so they could try and kill you to get the sword is not something that appeals to me. (and it doesn't help that an icon is displayed on the map of the exact location of the cursed sword - sort of shouting "come and get me boys" XD) but i was proven wrong, it was ultimate power (limited only by my hp and mp - but it's a really good deal even so) and it was exhilarating. hahaha.
here are my screenshots: (also view the photo on the previous post just so you can notice the difference XD)

i got a baby cougar pet! ^_^
Isn't he cute? @^_^@
This is my character on the private server(x5 rates) i've been using lately. I've named her Raya as well. and i'm still turning her into a Spellsinger. (my account with L2SEA is still very much alive, but I only get to play in it once a week. And yes, I have pet there too, a hatchling of the stars / baby dragon).
I've named my baby cougar Gaidin. Those acquainted with the Wheel of Time series will notice the name. :) Literally, it means Brother to Battles and is the name by which warders are known in the Old Tongue.
Gaidin doesn't really do much. His attack damage stays at 1 even when i cast Might on him. :/ But that's okay since he's absolutely adorable, he more than makes up for it. When it comes to upkeep, he isn't a very expensive pet. A single pack of baby spice will fill up his hunger meter 100% - as opposed to my old pets, Huan (a wolf, Tolkien-inspired name) and Smaug (hatchling of the star, yes, that Smaug from the Hobbit ^^). I bought him a Little Harness, which slightly increased his physical defense - very slightly. I haven't proven this yet, but I think a keltir or a low-level orc could hit him and he'd still die. >_<. so far I've managed to level him up to 35 and I haven't had to resurrect him yet.
I make him stay at a very safe spot where he can still see me, and grind away. This has mostly worked up until last night when all of a sudden, he casted heal on me. :/ it still doesn't amount to much, +25 HP, but it scared me how he almost ran to the midst of all the mobs just to cast heal. Tsk. I could almost imagine him dying all because he wanted to cast a +25 heal on me. @_@ i really have to figure out a new grind plan. hehe.

Which Chess Piece Are you
Your result for Which Chess Piece are You Test?...
The King's Bishop
Congrats! Only 3-4% of the population score this!

To others, the King’s Bishop projects confidence. This can be mistaken for arrogance; but its source is easy to find. From an early age most of the King’s Bishops are specialized in their knowledge. When it comes to an area of expertise the King’s Bishop has several. They can know immediately if they can help you and how. They know what they know, but more importantly they know their limits.
This Bishop is a perfectionist. They will always attempt to improve upon anything of interest. They have an unusual independence of mind which frees them from authority, convention or sentiment. Anyone who is slacking will lose respect – and be made aware of this. The King’s Bishop can be secretive when making critical decisions. However they are even-handed and will recognize contributions others give.
This Bishop is highly ideal with their goals. They attempt to pursue high degree of quality in solutions and can be critical of ideas that compromise this quality. Because of their unwillingness to accept ‘good enough’ they can be unrealistic. They are at their best when they have time to think through a problem, at which point they may have a plan to solve the dilemma. The King's Bishop is an individual with a very analytical attitude. They are like the Queen's Rook, in that they prefer the ascetic quality of solitude. They are not as sociable as others, but are quite prepared to lead if they deem the current leadership as weak. They are thankfully pragmatic and logical individuals. They have very low tolerance for emotional rampaging or the spinning of 'truths'.
